Los Angeles experienced widespread celebrations after the Dodgers won a thrilling seven-match World Series championship. Supporters worldwide joined local residents in jubilation, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Enormous Crowds
Los Angeles area events featured a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Social media videos depict thousands of Angelenos packing city center avenues, many carrying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the masses, raising the championship trophy high.
“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to do this,” the star player remarked through an interpreter.
The procession path concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the team walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard providing music and Ice Cube cruising a Pacific blue classic car around the field.

However, Mark Walter received a less warm reception at the celebration. Video footage from the gathering appear to show Walter walking onstage to a mix of cheers and jeers, with negative shouts interrupting his address.
The championship acted as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for Los Angeles. An estimated 225,000 people attended to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, fans this year demonstrated equal or greater support.
“It seems it’s nearly twice from last year,” he said. “The supporters are incredible. It’s so awesome to be a involved in this.”
